  Elder Arrangement

  hi everyone, (including the person who down votes all of my posts).

  as some of you know, i'm working toward my master's degree.

  comments from those associated when the elder arrangement was introduced would help me with a research paper.. what was the reaction among adherents?

  I would say there are a ton/high percentile of JW elders today who to this day have not read the Bible from cover to cover.

  I remember a C O. visit where he asked our Servant Body how many among us had read the entire Bible. Of the 15 or so among us only a few raised their hands. The C.O. stated he was asking all congregation Servants in his circuit the same question and related he was getting the same negative results from the other Servant Bodies.

  The C.O. went on to admit that when he had first applied to serve as a C.O. one of the questions asked of the applicant was if he had read the entire Bible. He hadn't at the time. So he sets out for the next two months or so to concentrate on reading the Bible. The sole purpose for his reading the Bible was so that he himself could ✔️ (check) that question as yes!

  Any wonder why the WTBTS has a bunch of 🤡 clowns serving as elders throughout the borg! :) :) :)

  For each senior JW that dies..that's $8.25/month less that goes to the WTBTS! How do they offset that loss? More Caleb & Sophia cartoons that push/drive infants on becoming li'l Publishers...that adds back the previous $8.25 loss!

  I recently got a call from an elder...two of them wanting to do a Shepherding Call no doubt due to my lack of in-person meeting attendance. "Let's just do your Shephering Call on the phone while we're talking" was my reply. I can tell he wasn't pleased with that. After a long pause he asks: "How are you doing"? I told him in no uncertain terms that I was happy and doing really great! Then suddenly he had to go..."Good-Bye"!

  What Name Does the New Testament Emphasize - Jehovah or Jesus?

  it seems to me scripturally speaking, that jehovah's witnesses are emphasizing the wrong name.. it should be jesus, not jehovah.

  who is the way, the truth and the life?

  (john 14:6).

  Let's all just agree that the original Bible in no way, shape or form emphasizes/mentions the hybrid term 'Jehovah'!

  hello my name is deeno and i’m so happy to have found a place like this, hopefully i can make some friends here :3. anyways idk if my profile updated but a little about me i’m 16 but my 17th bday is on the 29th aaaand i was disfellowshipped sometime in september or october 2021. as i’m a minor i’m still in my dads home and so i am forced to go to meetings and convention n shit so that’s fun but hey could be worse lol.

  but yeah that’s it as far as that goes, oh and i suppose i should mention my pronouns are he/they.

  Deeno...it's a pleasure to meet you & you're very welcomed here! It sounds like you were df'd when you were somewhere between 15 & 16 years of age. That must of been hard on you...soo sorry you had to go through that harsh disciplinary process at such a young age...& still having to deal with it. I, for one look forward to more of your story.   This cuckoo Jehovah's Witness GB member is actually coming across more assertive, fanatical and dogmatic than tolerant JWs claim when he states '...but its' more accurate to say...'!

  Infact...in many of his other videos, Stephen Lette has a history/tendency of being critical of 'Yang Ones'!

  Disillusioned JW: "...the examples you gave of the manner of usage of the name "Jehovah" at Kingdom Halls of JWs, including in public prayers, also sounds strange to me."

  I estimate that the amount of times the term Jehovah is mentioned at a JW meeting from opening prayer to closing prayer & in between would be from 200 to 250 times. And the amount of times the term Jesus is mentioned would be less than 5 times...Seriously!

  I doubt that Raymundo Martini, the one who coined the term 'Jehovah', ever intended it to be used, overused and abused in this fashion...Seriously!
